Crystaltech was formed in 1980 to specialise in the service and installation of commercial glass and dishwashers.

Since that time we have grown steadily and it has always been our policy not to sell equipment or detergent.

We are now the UK's largest independent glasswasher service company and it is our close working relationship with our customers that has allowed us to grow.

Our trained engineers are employed on a full time basis, nationwide. We do not subcontract our service work to other companies.

All of our service and installation vans are fully equipped and as a group we hold in excess of £1.5 million of stock and 40,000 lines. This enables us to achieve a very high first time fix rate.

Response Times

When an essential piece of equipment fails over a busy weekend, the resulting need for additional staff and/or overtime creates high costs.

The additional cost of lost business due to unsatisfied customers, whilst staff are taken away from their normal duties to wash glasses, is immeasurable, and a drop in hygiene standards is certain to ensue.

With Crystaltech, this downtime situation is, in most cases, avoidable.

Crystaltech has a proven track record of responding to “Out of Hours” calls and an excellent first time fix rate, to ensure that essential warewashing equipment is fully operational with the minimum downtime.

Training

The glasswasher has a direct influence on the presentation of drinks: ('The Perfect Pint'), and dirty glasses can often be the reason for loss of custom.

Crystaltech has campaigned for many years to establish an industry standard for the methods of achieving good and consistently clean glasses. We originally worked with Whitbread Beer Dispense to develop a concise “Glasswashing Results Guide”. This methodology has now been accepted throughout the industry and is used by Cask Marque, Heineken, McMullen's, Fullers and many other pub groups.

The Guide is concise and easily read and it forms the basis of Crystaltech's short training talks.

Our talks are proven to have a significant effect on the improvement of Glass Hygiene, Drink Presentation (no flat Beer) and they also reduce the costs involved in a huge number of unnecessary service visits.
