The Mad Bishop & Bear is one of Fuller’s managed sites from its 400 strong estate. Situated on the first floor at Paddington Station, it is a spacious site with traditional mahogany fittings, ornate décor, an extra-long bar and eight real ales on tap – this is a real English pub and not just a glorified station lounge!

The pub has been recognised for its superb standards with several recent awards including West London CAMRA Pub of the Year 2015/16 and its General Manager, Helen Wilson, was recently named Fuller’s Master Cellarman of the Year. This award recognises exceptional cellar standards and outstanding beer-keeping. To earn the honour, pubs must score 90% or more in four consecutive assessments, with marks easily lost for even the slightest smear on a pint glass!

Paddington is one of the busiest railway stations in the UK with around 20 million commuters passing through annually.

The Crystaltech Solution

The problem of hard water in London had been causing residue on cleaned glasses at The Mad Bishop & Bear. To resolve this results issue, Crystaltech installed a Reverse Osmosis system, which uses pure water, combined with the right level of chemicals.
